Here’s what came across the wire this week:
After a frenzy of activity the week before, it was a fairly quiet week on the Willets Point front. It may be because the folks over at the City Council had some other things going on.
Speaking of term limits, Nicholas Von Hoffman over at the Nation says a Bloomberg third term isn’t just bad for democracy it’s bad for manufacturing districts in the city, such as Willets Point.
Even Develop Willets Point weighed in on the term limits fight.
In news more specific to Willets Point, Comptroller William Thompson gave his two cents, giving the popular opinion that he supports the city’s plan but only if issues surrounding affordable housing and the businesses are addressed.
